Alternative subscription model for "Topology"

Elsevier has decided to explore an alternative subscription model for the journal "Topology". This is in order to determine whether there is interest in a model where immediate electronic access is leading and print delivery is delayed. It is a multi-year experiment and we hope to test whether it will result in a wider distribution of Topology and higher usage of the on-line edition.

The alternative subscription option for Topology entails immediate electronic access but delayed print delivery (annually instead of bimonthly). The electronic access to the full-text articles will be supplied via the ScienceDirect Web Editions. To obtain access the institution is required to complete and sign a ScienceDirect Web Editions License Agreement.

Interested libraries that are not already ScienceDirect customers, (i.e. libraries not having paid access to the ScienceDirect Digital Collection) can contact their closest Regional Sales office. Subscriptions can also be ordered via your agent (agents will receive their regular agent discount). Libraries currently subscribing to Topology can change their existing subscription to the alternative model if they so desire.
