When a Meeting is also a Farewell

Ingela Radestad's first child, Ellen, died shortly before birth. As a midwife and now the mother of three children, Ingela recognised that there was a need for a sensitive but realistic book to help parents and those around them cope with the death of a very small child.

The book explores the reactions which follow such a loss and the different ways in which parents experience and express their grief. The final section of the book drawn upon the experiences of a number of midwives who have cared for stillbirth or neonatal death cases and this makes the book essential reading for maternity care professionals.
