ICRP Publication 51: Data for Use in Protection Against External Radiation

Annals of the ICRP Volume 17/2-3

Edited By
  • . ICRP

This publication provides information and advice on the relationships between radiometric, dosimetric and radiation protection quantities for external radiation and on their practical utilization. Although this report is mainly about the protection of persons, some of the data presented may be of interest in relation to instruments for measuring external radiations, especially in the matter of the energy response and the choice of conversion coefficients for spectral distributions of energies. This report supersedes those sections of ICRP Publication 21 that dealt with the relationship between field and dose quantities for external radiation.
