Note from the Korean Statistical Society and Elsevier
Dear [title][last name],
The Journal of the Korean Statistical Society has been published as a quarterly journal by the Korean Statistical Society since March 1973 when the first issue appeared. A proud publishing tradition has thus been established over the past 35 years.
Negotiations were commenced between The Korean Statistical Society and Elsevier in 2006, concluding in an Agreement to embark on a collaboration in publication of the Journal, commencing with this first issue of 2008.
The aim of the collaboration is to further the development the Journal has already evidenced, in an increasing internationalization, including that of the Editorial Board and of the authorship, in addition to an increase of the visibility of the Journal through exposure via the ScienceDirect platform.
We thus hope to see an increase in the service the Journal provides to the world-wide statistics community.
