Elsevier and IAHR are delighted to announce the launch of the Journal of Hydro-environment Research. In May 2007, Elsevier will publish the first issue of the Journal of Hydro-environment Research, a collaboration between Elsevier, the International Association of Hydraulic Engineering (IAHR), and the Korea Water Resources Association (KWRA). Published on a quarterly basis, the journal will provide an international platform for the dissemination of research and engineering applications on water and hydraulic problems in the Asia-Pacific region.

The kick off meeting for the launch took place in January this year at Hong Kong University. The workshop was attended by the complete Editorial team of the new journal, by representatives of the IAHR and its APF division, as well as KWRA, Hong Kong University, the Hong Kong government and Elsevier. Progress in OceanographyProgress in Oceanography now in EES

We are pleased to announce that a new electronic submission and handling system, 'Elsevier Editorial System' (or EES), has been implemented for Progress in Oceanography.

EES is a web-based system with full online submission, review and status update capabilities. EES allows you to upload files directly from your computer. This is part of our on-going efforts to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our editorial procedures, and the quality and timeliness of the manuscripts published. We strongly encourage all authors to use EES at the following URL when submitting papers to the journal. PROOCE in EES can be accessed at http://ees.elsevier.com/prooce. First time users will need to register.

Progress in Oceanography is also available on ScienceDirect
