Best Paper Award 2009

Elsevier Science and Marine Pollution Bulletin present an annual prize of $1000 for the paper published in this
journal during the preceding year which the editor and members of the editorial board consider to be very important.  In this second year, papers published between summer 2008 and the end of 2009 were looked at in this regard. The criteria on which a judgment is made were
stated in Barranguet and Sheppard (2007).

The paper chosen this time is by Michael J. Risk, Brian E. Lapointe, Owen A. Sherwood and Bradley J. Bedford. 2009. The use of d15N in assessing sewage stress on coral reefs. Marine Pollution Bulletin: 793–802.

Our congratulations to these authors.
