Scott leads the product development for the English language journals. He regularly interfaces with industry analysts from firms like EPS and Outsell, providing them with industry perspectives on today's fast changing market. At Elsevier, Scott is responsible for establishing new revenue web based models for Elsevier and setting strategic direction for Elsevier with the search engines. He also oversees direct involvement in Elsevier's Web 2.0 initiatives, including community based tools and dynamic content creation.

Scott came to Elsevier from the successful web start up GlobalSpec where he led Business Development and New Product Development. Scott has more than 22 years of supply chain management and sourcing leadership experience with General Electric and the U.S. Air Force. While at GE, Scott led Corporate Six Sigma Quality and sourcing teams, and developed some of the earliest online sourcing tools. Prior to GE, he was an active duty Logistics Officer USAF and a veteran of Operation Desert Storm.
