New Impact Factors from Elsevier's Aquatic Sciences journals

The latest Impact Factor figures have been released, and we are delighted to provide you with highlights from our Aquatic Sciences journals.

Water Research is still the leading journal in Water Resources, with an Impact Factor increase of over 14%. Desalination jumps from 4th to 2nd in the rankings and Elsevier now publishes 6 of the top 10 journals in this category. Journal of Hydro-environment Research achieved a 45% increase in Impact Factor and is now ranked 5th in Water Resources.

Among our Oceanography journals, Marine Genomics saw an Impact Factor increase of over 47% in the Genetics & Heredity category, while Progress in Oceanography remains the 3rd ranked journal in Oceanography. Deep-Sea Research Part II saw its impact factor increase by over 20% and it is now one of 4 Elsevier journals ranked in the top 10 in Oceanography.

Algal Research received its first Impact Factor of 4.095, a fantastic achievement for the journal, which published its first volume in 2012.
